Storm cuts off power supplies

Rough weather cut electricity to a number of houses in Auckland yesterday.

High winds and heavy rains saw "isolated pockets" of cuts across the region, lines company Vector said.

Late last night, three streets in Remuera suffered a power cut for about half an hour, and there were also outages in Greenlane.
