The Wairarapa Archive and Aratoi are teaming up to commemorate World War I from a Wairarapa perspective.
Aratoi will be hosting an exhibition of stories, selected by the archive, of Wairarapa men who volunteered and went overseas with the Main Body of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
The stories will be displayed on "pop-up" banners and signs, which will later be placed as billboards in railway stations throughout the region, including the Masterton, Carterton, Woodside and Featherston Stations.
The display will then be available to travel to other centres, including schools and libraries.
Altogether, 544 Wairarapa men died in World War I.
