Stolen TV bounces back

A stolen television appears to have a boomerang-like quality, having been stolen and recovered twice.

The plasma TV was discovered with a hoard of stolen goods at a Hamilton address.

Sergeant Roger Coley said: "The owner's insurance company replaced the television [after it was stolen in 2008] so when police later recovered it and linked the telly's serial number to the victim he decided to give it to a friend."

The friend's home was burgled and the television was taken again.
