A toddler and his older brother had a lucky escape after a stolen car crashed through their bedroom in the early hours of this morning.
The boys, aged two and four, were treated by ambulance staff for minor cuts at the house in Papatoetoe, South Auckland, shortly after 6am.
A stolen Nissan Tino stationwagon was being chased by police before it crashed into the house on the corner of Kimpton and Stonex roads.
"The two boys were very lucky," Sergeant Tony Costley said.
Police have arrested a 29-year-old south Auckland man in connection with the incident.
