"The car hit the bed with an enormous force," Fink said.
"We could hear the engine and I started to freak out because all the furniture was on top of me."
The force of the car hitting the house sent the couple's furniture across the room, with the bed having moved about half a metre from its original position.
Craigie said he was pushed from the bed due to the impact, and found himself on the floor amidst a cloud of dust.
"The whole room filled up with concrete dust and I couldn't breathe," Fink said.
"It was terrifying. I was really scared."
Craigie said they could hear police yelling for people to get out of the car, and the couple were worried whether they should head outside or not.
Fink said when they came staggering outside, police were a little surprised as they weren't aware anyone was inside.
"We were a bit overwhelmed and shocked," she said. "I couldn't believe what just happened."
"There was a big cloud of dust so you couldn't see anything," Craigie added. "And there were police and ambulance running around."
"I thought I was alright, but I couldn't breathe from all the dust," she said. "While I was sitting there I started to get really bad pain in my back and I couldn't stop shaking."
She received X-rays and scans but was cleared for any serious injuries.
"Thank god we were so lucky. I have a lot of bruising on my back but no permanent injuries. I am just glad no one was hurt," she said.
"I feel like I've had a sledgehammer hit my body."
Craigie said the pair had lived at the property for two years and quite often heard speeding vehicles and skidding at night time.
A Police spokeswoman said three people were in the stolen vehicle, and one of these people fled on foot.
She said the person was not able to be located at the time and is still sought by police, however two people were taken into custody and are likely to face charges.
A St John spokesperson said it transported three people to Auckland Hospital in a moderate condition.
