The driver of a stolen car crashed into two cars before coming to a stop in the Auckland suburb of Pakuranga this morning.
Inspector Kerry Watson said the stolen car crashed into another vehicle on Ti Rakau drive two minutes after a police pursuit began.
He said police chased the car which reached estimated speeds of up to 85kmh.
The stolen car then crashed into another car near the intersection of Ti Rakau and Te Irirangi Drives, Mr Watson said.
Mr Watson said the police have apprehended a man in his twenties.
A St John Ambulance spokesman said the service transported two patients from the scene.
He said one had minor injuries and the other had moderate injuries.
Police have set up cordons and the road is closed.
"Police are interested in hearing from the public from witnesses to the driving of the stolen vehicle a silver Subaru Legacy stationwagon prior to the pursuit," Mr Watson said.
