A man accused of murdering North Shore teenager Christie Marceau has yet to enter a plea after his lawyer asked for more time at a hearing today.
A man, who has name suppression, allegedly murdered Christie, 18, in her home last year. He has been in custody since.
Christie's mother and grandmother were home when she was killed on November 7, last year.
The man appeared briefly in the High Court at Auckland today where his lawyer Mary-Anne Lowe said she was yet to "explore all possible defences".
A tentative trial date in October has been set down for three weeks.
