Nearly four weeks after the horrific deaths of twin babies Chris and Cru Kahui, police have still to make any arrests.
Police said they had interviewed all family members in their hunt for the killer or killers but have refused to say how close they are to charging someone.
The three-month old twins from Mangere in south Auckland died on June 18 from brain damage resulting from head injuries. They died within a few hours of each other five days after being taken to Auckland's Starship Hospital by family members.
The family originally refused to cooperate with police about how the twins came by their injuries, leading to accusations that they were deliberately holding back on information.
Police spokeswoman Angeline Barlow said today there was "no new information to give in relation to the inquiry at this point".
All the family members had been seen at least once.
Police had also interviewed 90 medical staff involved with the treatment of the twins after they were admitted to hospital.
"Inquiries are continuing and steady progress is being made," Ms Barlow said.
It was possible there would be a further update on Monday or Tuesday next week.
Earlier this week about 100 people gathered in a south Auckland mall carpark for a vigil against child abuse and for the Kahui twins.
