"There's a lot of sought-after stuff in there."
He said the doors and windows were extensively damaged and would have to be replaced.
Mr Martin wasn't sure exactly what time the attempted break in happened because they were still in the process of getting the footage off the security cameras.

He said the recent trend of burglaries was worrying.
"It's not good."
Last week, thieves stole a quad bike, tools and sheets of iron from Wairarapa College and property from a storage shed on the corner of Ngaumutawa Rd and Hillcrest St.
Thieves also smashed their way into the golf shop at Masterton Golf Club to steal specialist playing gear worth $20,000, plus the contents of a safe.
Goldpine was also hit, with a safe containing cash, industrial staplers and a nail gun taken.
In one of the most brazen of recent burglaries, thieves raided Matahiwi Winery in Paierau Rd at 6.30am on March 1, driving away with a blue fuel tanker containing about 200 litres of diesel.
Mr Martin said if anyone saw anything suspicious on Saturday, please contact Wairarapa Police on (06) 370 0300.
