Housing New Zealand has terminated the tenancy of a state house in Christchurch allegedly sublet by a woman who owned her own home, Parliament was told yesterday.
Housing Minister Chris Carter said Housing New Zealand started its investigation on October 3.
The Press newspaper reported yesterday that Rana Martin had been living in a house she owned in Hillmorton, despite being the tenant of a state house in St Asaph St, central Christchurch.
