State Highway 25 closed following crash

State Highway 25 is closed between Manaia and Coromandel town after a crash which has left one person in a serious condition this morning.

Inspector Ben Offner said the vehicle cashed 1.5km north of Goldfields Rd, Manaia about 8.50am. The sole occupant has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.

Mr Offner said the road will be closed for about two hours and there are no viable detours available.

Motorists are advised to delay their travel until the road is reopened.
