An estimated 200,000 people turned out for this year's Starlight Symphony in the Auckland Domain on Saturday night. Under a perfect summer sky the crowd enjoyed the sounds of several celebrities, young opera singers, the Auckland Philharmonia and the SkyCity massed choir. A giant catherine wheel - which lit the night sky as Frankie Stevens performed the 70s classic Spinning Wheel - went down as a definite highlight of the evening. The annual laser light show was also a crowd pleaser. All funds raised during the evening will go to the Kidz First Children's Hospital.
