Wairarapa musos have been offered another stage to play on at the weekly Turkey Red Hotel Musicians' Night in Greytown.
Turkey Red Hotel owner Marilla Rankin said allcomers are welcome at the open mic evenings, which run at the hotel every Thursday from 7.30pm.
A resident band of players including Roger Gordon-Wiles, Miles Reay and Steve Trotman launch the entertainment each Thursday night with some easy listening numbers and also will back whoever wishes to step up to the microphone.
The musical evenings first started last year, she said, and were re-launched again this year as a way to widen the entertainment pallet at Turkey Red and offer another venue for amateur Wairarapa musicians.
"There's so much music in Wairarapa at the moment, we're spoilt for choice and we're very keen to get more people up all the same. The whole idea is to throw the mic over to anybody who wants to have a go."
