Masterton firefighters went to a small fire at Henergy Barn Eggs yesterday morning, but it was extinguished by staff before they arrived.
Managing director Graeme Napier said the fire, at about 8.15am affected "a little bit of plastic in the shed".
"Since we had the other fire, the guys are extra cautious, so they called the fire brigade, but they put it out themselves with a fire extinguisher."
In September last year a major fire destroyed a building at the 80,000-hen facility, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage.
None of the staff or birds was harmed.
