Vets: Tuesday's round was Stableford with a good field of 32 golfers. The weather behaved itself for once, which could account for the good turnout.

Twos were scored by Piri Gillies, Corrie Van Zanten and Chris Connor.
Yeh, ok Chris I'll make a point of telling everyone you had two twos! I know it's an ongoing challenge for Chris to come up with the prizes every week, but this week he surpassed himself with one prize being a packet of toilet rolls. I guess it doesn't take a lot of thought to come up with who won them, yes Chris.
Nearest the Pin #6 was not struck, which says quite a bit about how difficult the 6th is with a wind blowing and heavy conditions.
Women: Wednesday was an LGU round, nett medal. First by lot from Gay Martin was Sue Braiden with net 68.
They were followed by Margaret Thompson 72, Lynette Morrell 74, Sue Ross and Flo Watkins 75, Miria Te Tau and Corrie Van Zanten 76. Clareville Nursery NTP #15 Shirley Carew, All Teed UP Janet Pincock, Carterton New World was not struck. Twos were scored by Shirley Carew, Lyn Morrell and Lesley Sadler.
Saturday: The Bertha Elbe Memorial Trophy. There was one list of prize winners incorporating the women and men. First, well ahead of the field with 44 points was Sarah Haskell. Sarah was trailed by Eric Collings 39, Gay Martin 38, Wendy Rhodes 37, Ian Brinkworth 36, Lance Sayers, Garth Ramsden, Lyn Andrews and Stu Ingham. EV's Bar NTP #6 was not struck. (Obviously the field found it as difficult to hit as the vets did on Tuesday.) Royal Oak #15 was won by Lance Sayers as was All Teed Up #16. For the women's All Teed UP NTP was won by Katie Smart and New World Wendy Rhodes.
