Stabbing suspect arrested

A woman is in hospital with multiple stab wounds and another woman is in police custody after an alcohol-fuelled fight in Rotorua on Saturday night.

The stabbing happened at a home in the suburb of Fordlands.

The victim, who was known to her 21-year-old alleged attacker through a third party, was admitted to Rotorua Hospital.

Her wounds were not considered life-threatening and her condition yesterday was stable.
