A Napier teenager who was stabbed in the neck at a rowdy party is in stable condition in Hutt Hospital today.
The 18-year-old man was stabbed during a confrontation at the party on the corner of Georges Drive and Rose St in the suburb of Marewa about 3am yesterday, police said.
The teen was taken to Hutt Hospital, where he had surgery for nerve damage yesterday afternoon.
A hospital spokeswoman said the teenager was in stable condition, and would be transferred back to Hawke's Bay Hospital later today.
Sergeant Ian Evans said police are investigating but were yet to make an arrest.
Police appealed for witnesses and information.
