Two months after police dog Edge was stabbed trying to apprehend a knife-wielding man, he is fit and ready for duty.
Edge was back at the Pakowhai dog handlers' station today for the first time since he received life-threatening stabs wounds after tracking a man in Hastings.
His handler Dave Whyte said Edge went for his final check up two weeks ago and has since been working on his fitness.
Checks show the two-year-old has no emotional scarring.
