Three children stabbed during a horror rampage in their Lower Hutt home remain in a serious, stable condition in Wellington Hospital's intensive care unit.
Police found the two girls, aged eighteen months and three years, and a baby boy, aged two months, covered in blood at their Naenae house on Sunday night.
A 30-year-old man, who has interim name suppression, was remanded in custody and ordered to undergo psychiatric assessments after appearing in court on Monday charged with assaulting the three-year-old.
The police investigation is continuing.
