St Kentigern College took home the national secondary schools rugby title yesterday, beating Otago Boys' High School 31-5.
The Auckland school also won the regional title, in a game against Auckland Grammar last month, despite losing its star player, former head boy and team captain So'otala Fa'aso'o through suspension.
In yesterday's game at St Kentigern College, home side players Broc Hooper, TJ Faiane and Sam Nock scored a try each and Dillon Wihongi got two over the line. Hooper also kicked three conversions. Aleki Morris scored the points for the visiting team.
