Carterton's annual Daffodil Festival will bloom once again on September 13.
The festival will come alive with all the usual activities, including the traditional daffodil picking at Middle Run, market stalls with all kinds of treats and the Big Wai art sale with artwork from artists from all over New Zealand.
Visitors can expect the return of the Daffodil Express, available to bring visitors from Wellington and for a trip to Masterton.
The festival is thriving, says the Carterton District Council, with expectations for more than 4000 visitors and the introduction of a new attraction. Visitors will have the opportunity to take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage.
"We have a standing order in for beautiful weather and are confident it's going to be yet another amazing day out for all ages," Carterton district council event co-ordinator Shelly Paget said.
