KEY POINTS:
A New Zealand sport star charged with assaulting a female was not in court when his case came up again at Hamilton District Court this morning.
His lawyer Philip Morgan QC said it only an administrative hearing and there was no need for his client to be there.
The international representative, who has name suppression, was remanded on bail after he appeared in court last month.
Community magistrate Rae Brooker said today that the issue of name suppression had arisen but the order would continue until it expired on the April 16.
The sport star was further remanded without plea until April 12.
