KEY POINTS:
I couldn't sleep last night, thinking of one question: what is the definition of a good journalist?
Report what you see as the truth without thinking? Report what you think is right as the truth? Or investigate and tell both sides of the story to let people judge for themselves.
We can't deny that sometimes news workers are responsible for misunderstanding and prejudice between people with different cultural backgrounds.
No matter which language you use or which part of world you are from, peace is the same.
It's important for people all over the world. We can use wages to help poor children in Africa; we can save power and water for green concerns. But what should we do as journalists? Volubly report the terrible wars? Or try the best to iron out the misunderstandings between different cultures.
Personally, I'm already sick of watching the news discrediting the Beijing Olympics.
So I really want to ask is the Olympic spirit still important for us.
Take the Russian and Georgian war. I won't judge how complicated the Russia and Georgia conflict is, but there are two special photos shown above.
They are the Silver medal and Bronze medal winners of Women's 10m Pistol - Natalia Paderina (left) from Russia and Nino Salukvadze (right) from Georgia.
They hug and kissed to celebrate their good results. They showed they were eagre of peace. Their action on the Olympic stage moved me.
I'm firmly convinced of sports will cross natural boundaries. Let's wish for peace.
