"I've had a look at the security footage [and] I think it's the same crook ... What's concerning me is that [his behaviour] is escalating a bit. He's gone into the second bar when the patrons are still there and when you rob a bar when people are still there anything can happen."
When patrons were loyal to their bar and its owners - and consuming alcohol - there was a fear someone could "try and stand up to the guy".
"It could all go horribly wrong ..."
Mr Brewer said anyone who found themselves in a similar situation should do what they were asked. "If things go wrong it could get very messy. Just comply, the money is never worth it."
The bar manager threatened on Saturday night told the Herald he couldn't sleep afterwards. He saw the robber walk towards him with a gun in his hand.
It wasn't pointed at him but he knew he had to do as he was told.
"I still had a few people [in the bar] and they were about to leave and then it just happened, no warning or anything."
One patron ushered out all the women in the bar while the gunman walked towards the cash register.
The gunman ran out of the bar to a jeep parked near the Glenfield Library where he was seen getting in the passenger seat.
The manager was about to cash up when the robbery happened.
His boss, who also didn't want to be identified, said staff and patrons were shaken.
"I'm bummed out that I wasn't here. I was actually on my way out the door to come and get him, I'm his mother-in-law, and he rang and told me and I thought, 'Oh my god I knew I should have left home earlier'."
A planned barbecue at the bar yesterday went ahead despite what happened.
"We didn't think half of them would turn up but they have all come back."
