Split for Kham and Bob

Millionaire boxing fan Bob Jones is taking time out from his relationship, and instead gloving up for politics again.

Sir Robert's partner, Kham Phom Souv Anh, was yesterday at her sister's house in Auckland and confirmed the couple were going through a "trial run" separation.

The couple have three children together, aged nine, seven and one year.

Phom Souv Anh described the separation as a "break", rather than a "break-up".

"We are sorting out a few issues," she said.

The two first met in a restaurant in Parnell, she said, and she fell in love with Jones' intellect and quick wit. If they did get back together, she said, they were likely to sell Jones' mansion overlooking the Hutt Valley and move to Auckland.
