KEY POINTS:
Issuing speeding tickets is not always a grim business, as staff at the Police Infringement Bureau have discovered.
The police magazine Ten One has reported that people go to great lengths to get a speed camera photo of themselves in "various poses and states of undress".
Pictures in the magazine also showed shots of a curious snail who slid around a speed camera lens.
Unfortunately for the owners of the cars also pictured, the photogenic snail did not cover their licence plate numbers.
The magazine also described a phone call from a woman who said she had received a ticket, but did not think she had been driving at the time.
When asked if she had a photo, the woman replied she didn't have a camera with her that day.
