Six teenagers walked away from a crash after their unwarranted and unregistered car barrelled down one of the country's steepest streets at 150km/h before crashing into a hospice.
The smash happened at the bottom of Dunedin's Baldwin St about 2.45am on Saturday.
Police said there were several witness but so far only one, a female aged 16 or 17, has been found. Constable Tracey Bransgrove said the car, which was moderately damaged, reeked of alcohol and was littered with empty bourbon and Coke cans.
