Doohan is an ambassador across the Tasman for Benz and its performance arm AMG and in his role drives a CLS 55 AMG four-door coupe.

The MotoGP legend (he won 54 grands prix) has had a long career in aviation, flying fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft.
His aviation company, Global Jet International, operates from the Gold Coast.
Doohan, who made the premier class of MotoGP his own from 1994 to 1998, may no longer wrestle the fastest racing motorcycles in the world but he still likes to have fun, especially with exotic machinery.
He trotted out his toys recently at the Phillip Island circuit, the same site where he won his fifth world championship 10 years ago.
He put the CLS 55 AMG's 350kW/700Nm to good use on the 4.48km circuit, showing that the supercharged coupe easily had the ability to match the Eurocopter when it came to acceleration and change of direction.
