"We pulled up outside my apartment block and he told me he would let me off my $17 fare if I would hook up with him and then he reached over and started fondling my boobs.
"I pushed his hand away and said no and tried to get him to take my Eftpos card, which he eventually did."
Her former husband, Dom Harvey, revealed further details on the breakfast show that they co-host on Monday morning.
He said Harvey had told him that she had a low-cut top on and that the taxi driver allegedly put his hand on her breast.
The Herald has learned that after speaking with police at length on Sunday afternoon, the case has been passed to the adult sexual assault team to investigate further.
It is understood the investigation is in its early stages and the driver at the centre of the allegations is yet to be identified.
Police could not comment on the case while it is under investigation.
Harvey has been contacted for comment.
