Police have named two men killed in separate road accidents in the South Island today and Sunday.
Jonathan Cutler Keogh, 28, of Christchurch , died near Rolleston at the intersection of Weedons Road, soon after 8pm on Sunday night, police said.
Meanwhile, a section of State Highway 1 near Dunedin is closed after a collision today between a utility vehicle and a logging truck left Colin James Graves, 39, dead.
Mosgiel police said Mr Graves, of St Claire, Dunedin was the driver of the utility which was heading south when a light truck driving in front of him turned off onto a farm entrance.
Mr Graves veered in front of the northbound logging truck at about 7.45am today, the police spokesman said.
The truck driver, 49, from Dunedin, was taken to Dunedin Hospital where he had surgery on his ear.
