A South Auckland man accused over a fatal stabbing last month can now be named.
Ben Bosch Herkt, 38, appeared at the High Court in Auckland this morning where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of murdering 32-year-old Matthew Greenslade.
Both men are from Papakura.
Mr Greenslade was driven to an accident and emergency clinic in Takanini on the evening of November 17 by some associates following an altercation at a nearby address, but died shortly after arriving, police said.
Counties Manukau Detective Senior Sergeant Aaron Proctor initially said police were looking for a weapon thought to have been used in the attack but days after the incident, he confirmed that was no longer the case.
