Sony is recalling some of Bravia flat-screen television models which may overheat and ignite.
The affected models are KLV40X300A, KLV40X350A and KLV40W300A.
Sony said an internal component could ignite and melt the upper-rear casing.
The problem has affected some sets in Japan and the New Zealand recall was a precaution, the firm said.
