An Auckland man is distraught after his brother was arrested on suspicion of murdering their mother in Britain.
North Shore bartender Christopher Heiss was informed by officers from Scotland Yard that his brother Sean, 28, was detained last week for the murder of their mother, Margaret Sheehy.
Sheehy, 58, was found dead in her home in Kingston, south west London, on June 12.
After her death, detectives from Surrey police had difficulty tracing Heiss to his home in Auckland where he has a New Zealand wife.
Sheehy's death stunned colleagues at the financial consultancy firm where she worked, but an even greater shock was in store.
