KEY POINTS:
A team of eight from the Army and the Royal New Zealand Air Force returned home last night after spending the past week loading aid aircraft in the tsunami-hit Solomon Islands.
The Hercules aircraft they returned on was the third one sent by the New Zealand Defence Force to deliver emergency supplies to the Solomons.
A team of 43 New Zealand soldiers remain there in support of the Regional Assistance Mission.
