A soldier has been flown to hospital after suffering burns to his back at Waiourou this morning.
The Palmerston North-based Rescue Helicopter was sent to Waiouru Military Camp about 9.30am after the soldier suffered burns to his back from an open fire.
It took the man to Hutt Hospital in Wellington.
