Soldier shot in leg during training

A soldier was taken to Middlemore Hospital yesterday after being shot in the leg during training at Ardmore.

The injury was not life threatening, said Major Denise Mackay. It was not known if he accidentally shot himself or was wounded by another soldier. An internal investigation has begun.
