A soldier accused of taking drugs and breaking Defence Force liquor rules is facing a court martial.
The soldier goes before the military tribunal at Linton Military Camp, near Palmerston North, next month.
They are facing charges of consuming a class B drug, possessing drug equipment and possessing alcohol contrary to military rules.
The court martial is not linked to but comes soon after a group of soldiers in Palmerston North consumed drugs, believed to be designer synthetic N-bomb.
Last month eight men, including a number of soldiers, were placed into police custody and admitted to hospital after suffering effects from a substance.
