A soldier has been charged with killing another driver after an army unimog crash.
The 22-year-old soldier, based at Linton army camp, faces one charge of careless driving causing death and two of careless driving causing injury.
The charges follow a collision between his unimog truck and a Foodstuffs supermarket supply truck on State Highway 1 near Hunterville on February 7.
The truck driver Shane Ratahi, 44, from Palmerston, was killed and the defendant and two other soldiers in the Unimog were injured.
