Softball venue cops a hammering

One of the venues for the Sydney Olympics has been partly destroyed by an Australian Defence Force team conducting a mock anti-terrorism exercise.

Doors were kiked down, windows smashed, walls flattened and carpet damaged as the over-zealous anti-terrorist squad stromed through the softball centre in Blacktown.

Damage is estimated at tens of thousands of dollars.
