Three members of the Waikato soccer team have been arrested and charged with fighting in a public place following an early-morning incident in Napier yesterday.
The three are due to appear in Napier District Court on November 28 following the incident, which led to a member of the public requiring hospital treatment.
Senior Sergeant Tony Dewhurst, of Napier, said it had not yet been established whether the injured person had been assaulted by one of the soccer representatives. No one else was arrested.
