KEY POINTS:
Continuing snowfall, more flight delays and road closures have prompted the organisers of Queenstown's winter festival to postpone a key event.
Tonight's Russian Big Night Out will now be held tomorrow night.
Festival director Simon Green says they had no choice as they ran out of time to get everyone there. He says they helicoptered the band Shihad into Queenstown yesterday to make sure they are ready to go for the event. Ladi 6, Pluto and Kora are the other big names to play tomorrow night.
Mr Green says weather forecasts show tomorrow will be a better night for it anyway. He says visitors, performers and locals have been incredibly understanding, and everyone is still keen to party.
