Four new snow groomers worth $2 million are busy at Cardrona Alpine Resort preparing the field for an earlier than usual June 13 opening, on "limited beginners' terrain", with more terrain being added later.
General manager Bridget Legnavsky yesterday said 30cm of snow had accumulated at the base building and forecast cold temperatures would help further snowmaking.
