KEY POINTS:
Police are to continue their search for Israeli backpacker Liat Okin today.
Search co-ordinator Senior Sergeant Steve Hutt, of Queenstown, said last night that there was one area that police wanted to look at again and a specialist search dog would be used.
Searchers spent Sunday going over areas previously covered and found no trace of the 35-year-old, who has been missing since March 27 after failing to return to Queenstown from the Routeburn Track.
Yesterday, police held a management meeting to determine whether to stop searching unless new information came to light.
"Basically we've got another area which we are going to put the dog into [today]," Mr Hutt said.
"It's just off the Emily Bluff and that's the only area that we've ascertained as being one that we can perhaps do some more work on, so that's what we're going to do."
Once the area was searched "then we will not be searching anywhere else at this time", he said.
