A flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Auckland International Airport after a smoke indicator warning light turned on, sparking a full-scale emergency response.
Nine fire trucks were called to the international terminal, and passengers were immediately evacuated after the plane landed.
An Auckland Airport spokeswoman said Air New Zealand flight NZ8109 from Auckland to Palmerston North, had made an emergency landing just before 12.30pm.
The plane had landed safely and customers were "immediately disembarked", she said in a statement.
