Two drivers had a lucky escape after colliding at the intersection of Fox St and Birdwood St in Featherston on Wednesday evening.
The impact flipped a Toyota Surf completely over, and it came to rest on its side near the Featherston toilets. One wheel was ripped off. The other vehicle, a Holden Commodore, remained upright.
An ambulance was called to the scene. Senior Sergeant Jymahl Glassey said yesterday both drivers were uninjured.
The Featherston Fire Brigade volunteers, whose station is on the same street, checked the rolled car for leaking fuel.
The intersection was closed for two hours while police investigated the crash. Mr Glassey said investigations are continuing.
