Police investigating the disappearance of Whanganui man Brett Hall have not been disheartened by the small response to this week's Police Ten-7 episode, which featured the case.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Kirby has not been surprised by the lack of information coming forward.
"Every case is different. Mr Hall's property is remote so it was inevitable we wouldn't receive a flood of eye witness reports," Mr Kirby said.
"At the end of the day just one call or one piece of information can solve a homicide so the limited response does not necessarily concern us.
"Public appeals are just a small part of an investigation. A lot of work is also going on behind the scenes and we are receiving cooperation from some of Mr Hall's friends and associates.
"We believe it is the people who knew Mr Hall that hold the key to his disappearance."
A leaflet about Mr Hall's disappearance is being handed out to commercial businesses in the Whanganui and Palmerston North areas, with the hope of filling the gaps of Mr Hall's movements in the days leading up to him being reported missing on May 31.
