The i30 transformed Hyundai from budget brand to class contender and the new model looks set to further elevate the company's status.
It will be unveiled this week at Frankfurt and takes styling cues from the recently launched i40. Sharp lines, chrome detailing and LED daytime running lights combine to give a premium feel.
Inside, the i30 gets a modern design that should maintain the brand's reputation for good build quality. Equipment includes keyless go. Engine details have yet to be confirmed, but a 1.6-litre petrol is certain to feature, along with a frugal diesel and a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol unit for a hot variant.
Manual and dual-clutch gearboxes will both be offered.
