Small earthquake hits King Country

People in the King Country were woken up by an earthquake in the early hours of this morning.

It was about 20 kilometres south-west of Ohura, just before 4.30am.

The quake measured 3.5 on the Richter Scale, and was about 12 kilometres deep.
