KEY POINTS:
The Government's small business roadshow was so successful a second series of events has been organised.
Small Business Minister Clayton Cosgrove said today the first ran in 12 centres during May and June and the second was kicking off in Tauranga today.
The roadshows provide information about services available for small businesses which Mr Cosgrove said they often did not know much about.
And Social Development Minister Ruth Dyson said the Upskilling Partnership Programme, launched last year, had passed its target of 15 partnerships by June 2009.
The programme helps employees gain skills through workplace training programmes and companies join the Government in partnerships.
Dyson said 22 partnerships were in place and industry leaders were putting in the initiative and drive to ensure they succeeded.
