Slip blocks Ngaio Gorge lane

A slip has blocked one lane of Ngaio Gorge Road in the Wellington suburb of Ngaio, and motorists are advised to take another route to the urban motorway.

The slip, between Perth Street and Kaiwharawhara Road, had blocked an uphill lane.

Contractors were on their way to clear the slip, police said.

They advised motorists to take another route to avoid the slip.

Drivers were asked to drive carefully to the conditions.
